So updating this blog has been harder than my Mommy expected. She's heard from a few (Dworkins, Greens & family not on Facebook) that the updates are missed and they want to see what's going on in our lives...who is she kidding. They want to see what I have been up to.
Mommy is working to find a better solution to photos as that's been the sticking point.
More to come in the next few days as she updates on my amazing 1st birthdays (yes, there were 2!), how I've started walking and talking and went on a whirwind of travel to 3 weddings in a month!
So Mommy blocked me from the computer, probably because I think anything that flashes, like the mouse or monitor are toys to put in my mouth. Well, that's what she told me to tell you about why I haven't updated recently.
Instead of getting into a ton of words, although my vocabulary is expanding, I thought I would show life through pictures. This post is all about the month of December, or as I like to call it, the month of ME. Everything seemed to be about ME and I kind of liked it!

Mommy says she's been a bit naughty about updating the report out to the families, or the blog as Sawyer, my buddy at school, calls it.
Some highlights since it's been a while:
There's this day that's all about families and togetherness, but I think I picked up on it being more about the food. I think I'm more perceptive than most adults.
A week full of babysitters - not sure why Mommy and Daddy decided to leave me with all of these other ladies one week, but they did. I survived.
I have a few more weeks of school under my belt and have made some friends, including one of the fairer gender.
I continue to LOVE my food. Pretty much anything Mommy gives me I'll eat.
Mommy is chattering about to anyone who will listen about needing to baby proof. We'll see what that's all about.
So, the first thing is Thanksgiving, or the holiday all about eating. Mommy, Daddy and I drove down to Kansas City after lunch on Tuesday. They told everyone I was fantastic on the drive, but I think it was that they were lucky in the planning. Lunch, nap, play, nap and then we arrived in KC! On the way back, they weren't so lucky. Breakfast, play, play, cry, short nap, play, cry snack and maybe some more cry. Key learning for them is to plan drives around my nap time.
Other than the drive down, there was lots and lots of family time. I got to spend quality hours with most of my family, although I missed seeing great grandma and great grandpa Carr. I have extra cuddles waiting for them over Christmas.
Wednesday day was lunch with Grandad as well as a photo shoot right on the green at KCCC. That night was all about Gigi and family. Plus, it was my 6 month birthday! Thursday was lunch at Gammy Lulu's and dinner with Pappa J's family. Friday-Sunday was "opportunistic" as Mommy calls it - hitting up as many people in as much time as possible without going crazy. A highlight was seeing the Shulls and Auntie Angela's new house!
Now, onto some Thanksgiving photos:
Sitting all cute in my overalls!
Feeling Deano's face - no beard to grab onto!
Loving the Deano cuddle time
Ginny is perfectly huggable!
Aunt Anna knows baby just about more than ANYONE I've met that doesn't have a baby of their own!
Veggies from Great Nannie
And a comfy lap to sit on
4 Generations of Rubins/Watsons/Carrs!
Great Uncle Steve gave me finger puppets. FUN!
Lillian is my BFF in KC. We had a staring contest then she helped squeak my star.
Fitting that my first swing was at Arno Par
Uncle Justin ROCK CHALKS! And his mom, Joan, too. She made this costume for Kelly when she was 5 and kept it until today!
I didn't sleep well at Gammy's, so got some nap time in bed with Daddy
The week of babysitters: started with Mommy and Daddy spending lots of time in a bunch of buildings connected by hampster tunnels and full of men and women in these long coat things. It also sounds like something you put on a sandwich (well, according to Sawyer). Mayo, maybe? Yes, Mayo in Rochester. It was the bi-annual check-in with the "Good Dr. Hay." Mommy and Daddy got poked and prodded while I gave the doctors the stink-eye or spent time with Olivia, someone Mommy found online through someone else online. Risky, but it worked! The night we got back, Mommy wanted a girls' night with DLo, Sarah, Beth & Valerie and Daddy worked so Maria came over. Maria also came on Friday so Mommy and Daddy could go to the restaurant Uncle Nate "co-founded" (via Kickstarter) and Saturday was Dinner Club while Mara watched me. All in all a lot of time with the ladies, but they love me, so I don't mind!
First time falling asleep at the table during dinner. Also the first time I ate mango. YUMMY!
Keeping Mommy company waiting for "the good Doctor Hay"
At school all is going well. One day the note from my teacher told Mommy and Daddy that I spent a lot of time with Reese. It said I even grabbed her hand, "so cute!" Mommy asked the teacher the next day and it sounds like Reese sought me out. I didn't want anything to do with her. Girls are yucky (except for Mommy)!
Food is my friend and Dr. Neis says it's also a friend to my waistline. At my 6-month checkup, I was all the way up to 14#13oz, so just an ounce shy of double my birth weight. AWESOME! Dr. Neis said I'm now on the 10% curve and doing perfect. Height continues to be 50% and I still hate shots. Really, really hate shots. Oh, and I had another ear infection (or maybe it was the same one from before), so they gave me baby Z-Pack. Cleared it right up in only 5 days!
First mango
Wow...that was GOOD!!!
Green Beans. I tolerated.
I enjoyed kale mixed with spinach, sweet potato and cinnamon!
Finally, the following videos tells it all. Mommy and Daddy are thinking NOOOOO!!!!!!!
Sending lots of snowy MN kisses!

Coleman
